I confess. Prior to hearing about SEO software and website marketing industry, I considered that Google was incredible. I Used Google to look for anything from human beings, to images, to news stories to weird gadgets and purblindly trusted the findings. Then I heard about SEO applications and an entire business focused on site optimization, and my beliefs changed. But even prior to that, having done a bit of reflective analysis, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and reveal to the users even less than what they know.

My Google travails soon convinced me that Flikr is a higher quality image data bank, that with the help of social bookmarking tools I can get quality news stories without having to rummage through Google search results (rummaging seems more fitting than Google search), and people search is best managed by Facebook. It seems that every time I look for odd gadgets on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it kindly. Try searching for SEO software and other SEO relevant subjects on Google and you are just about prepared to surrender your sanity. I mean, come on, what’s the relationship between SEO programs and career webpages or Web casinos? It happens in my distress.

So when news of seo management software and the entire industry built around it came into my modest worldview, my doubts about domains popping up on page one of Google grew exponentially. Do they merit to be there and who is to blame, Google or webmasters using SEO programs. The moral quandary is vast. Do I seize using my SEO google rank checker or do I stop using Google instead? I resolved that I can’t boycott Google just yet. At least not until the worthy contender enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep playing with my SEO software.

Frankly, SEO programs is the reason why guys like myself get found on the Internet. smart as they are, search engine search algos are unlikely to find some random dude and position his website well. In this regard, I remain a steadfast admirer of SEO tools and natural search. If it was all about the cash, the Fortune giants would demolish me before I knew it. And there are up to one thousand businesses on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that annoys me and other check backlinks users, I am sure. There are guys who purchase SEO software products and use them to sell shoeson online education sites and such. What we are left with is litter that not only exists on the net but is also well ranked by Google.

What is the public reaction to this? People Google SEO app reviews and will instead find unrelated content. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet equality”. Does this mean that SEO product and service industry is harmful? I don’t think so.

The unethical users of SEO software have to stop corrupting the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The unfortunate thing about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the prospect to be noticeable on the Net that is available to the no-name guy like myself. For now users just have to be patient with them. One can only wish that Google will put more emphasis on catching the schemers abusing SEO programs, and if Google doesn’t, the competitor search engine will.
